consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing
greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost
all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ
and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes
from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the
righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. I want to
know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of
sharing in His sufferings,
becoming like Him in His death, and so, somehow, to attain to the
resurrection from the dead. Philippians 3:8-11
Almighty GOD,
Today we pray for the world in which we live,
for we are divided in many ways, yet Your church is spread throughout
the whole world. We pray for all who confess Your Name that we might
be united in the truth of the Gospel, and in Your mercy give us the
courage to be a force for good no matter where we are.We pray that
You will guide the people of our nation, and of all nations in the
ways of justice and peace, that we may honor one another and serve
the common good.
Have mercy on us and guide us. Give us all a reverence for the earth
as Your own creation, that we may tend the earth and preserve it as
stewards before You as You have instructed us to do.
May we do this in the service of others. Bless, comfort and be with
all those who suffer in body, mind and spirit throughout the world.
We especially pray for those who have suffered innocently at the hands
of others in war and strife.
We pray for those in Iraq and the middle east and Africa and the Balkans.
Bless the efforts of peace and reconciliation that this suffering
would cease.
Bless those who suffer from famine and poverty.
Have mercy on us and put it in our hearts to be moved
to help the poor and those whose need is before us.
We ask Your blessing be on those close
to us in the message of the Gospel. We pray for the Kallus families
in Germany and Alvarado family in Panama.
We pray for those who preach in Nigeria and Zambia and South Africa
that their efforts will be faithful and see the fruit of new believers.
We pray for the efforts of the Greers in Croatia and now please give
them a safe journey home. Bless the leaders of the world that their
motives will be for the good of the world. Have mercy that we may
see the good and pursue it in all our ways.

For ALWAYS just `being there' for us...
For fulfilling Your promises,
even though we do not deserve them.
Thank You for forgiving my sins.
Thank You for leading back those of us
who have gone astray... who take You,

Your gifts, blessings and guidance
for granted.
I am a sinner, and I need You
with every breath that I take,
to keep me on the straight and narrow...
yes, and even to recognize
when I've gone off Your path.
I cannot live without You,
my loving Father.
My heart is so full of You,
of Your Son, of Your Holy Spirit.
I don't have the words of humbleness,
of joy, of peace in this earthly language
to express the depth and breadth and height
of love and gratitude with which I am filled

As we see the manifestations of Your Power and Love so vividly shown
in Your Creation, we offer You our thanks.
As we experience
Your guidance in our lives,
Your constant Presence,
Your comforting hand,
we offer You our gratitude.
When we look into the heavens which You have created and see the stars
in their places and the planets in their orbits, we are reminded of
Your omnipotence and glorify Your Holy Name.
Lord God, give us Your Spirit as You have promised, that we might

Give us hearts of compassion
that we might minister to others in their sorrow and need.
Bestow upon us the gifts

In prayerful silence, I come into Your Presence
LORD. Your awesome beauty surrounds me in this
Land of Milk and Honey.
I am unworthy, Father, to be blessed with Your continuous grace
and abidance in my life. My consciousness is barren and my prayers
are rote. In my emptiness and hunger, Your Spirit has been generous,
prodding me out of idleness and into Your Word.
There is solace and comfort on my every side - I am surrounded by
Your Spirit - which lifts and relieves my distress. Forgive me,
Father, in my human failings. Let me be reminded daily of the treasures
I have at hand.
Provide in me, Dear Lord, a light that shines brightly. In
You, Father, there is safety and strength - my hope endures. You
will never leave me - You are my fortress - I will not be shaken!

I praise, honor, and glorify You for the awesome love You bestowed
on us by allowing Your beloved Son, to be the last death-sacrifice
to cleanse us from our sins and save us from Satan's death. I thank
You for Your Word that demonstrates, teaches and leads us to You.
I thank You for the joy each day brings, knowing I am a part of
Your mission to reconcile the peoples of the world to You.
Please take my life (my spirit) and use me in any way You wish for
I know I am blessed mightily just being a part of Your will. Being
useful to You gives me great confidence that no matter what happens
in this world and to me, good or bad, You will turn it into something
wonderful for Your children. Amen! Amen!
I pray for Your continued blessings on all the peoples of this world
and especially those You have called to Your service. Dear Lord,
I pray that You will turn our children's hearts to You, that You
will help them find Your unique peace and that You will show them
the difference between temporary and eternal life and the joy to
be found in both.
Please forgive me when I complain and stumble. Some days, my body
burns from my face all the way through to the souls of my feet -
at times, sharp pain attacks - the aching and throbbing can not
be rubbed away. It leaves me so weak, I have to use a cane to stand
upright. I long to shed this cumbersome body so that my spirit may
be free to join You.
Please, please help me conquer the sins that burden me.
Beloved Lord, thank You, for renewing my heart and mind each day,
for the strenth and perseverance You provide to keep my body a temple
for Your Holy Spirit. Knowing that I am never alone. Thank
YOU! I LOVE YOU.
